But what to do when you don’t have a car? Alright, you might have a car, but what to do if you don’t have any woods close by? A lot of people have this issue and the solution is to buy it online—it’s just as easy as checking your local news site. You probably are already seeing a lot of ads from merchants scrolling through blogs and news articles if you recently searched for firewood online. While there are so many merchants, you might not notice that a lot of them are blatantly asking you for a lot of money for the same product you can get elsewhere.
So I decided to do some research on these merchants and tried to conclude which is the best option for me. After spending a few days creating the perfect spreadsheet and eating tons of crisps, I found the perfect winner, who ticks all the categories for the best solution for eco-fuel products. From the price, delivery speed and delivery radius down to the little things like packaging, I present to you the best option—FireMood.
Big clients choose them, what about you?
To be honest, I was very surprised not to see any other big names pop up on the front row of my spreadsheet as I had not previously heard of them. But it does make a lot of sense why they were at the top of the list. Almost every product was 15–20% lower than from any other vendor. Wouldn’t you rather drive to some resort and feel the sun or take a weekend off and drive to the countryside? While browsing through FireMood’s pages I noticed that there are pretty positive testimonials from a lot of people, but I was skeptical about those. Why do you ask? Because if they just launched recently, how there are people already saying that they have saved X amount of money? It seemed a bit unreal, so I decided to get in touch with FireMood and just have a talk with them, because why not?
I wanted to be sure they are real not just another business trying to rip-off clients. After a few hours of writing to them, I got a very kind response from Brian, who is one of the managers at FireMood. We had a great conversation regarding their business and they let me in on a lot of things. For one, these testimonials are from one of their first clients who trialed their business model. These clients were using their products when FireMood wasn’t even launched but only in the ideas stage.

I think it’s been a few more days now since I wrote this and I have been thinking about FireMood, finding maybe some loophole? You know, they look so good on paper, but there has to be some mistake. I went back to their website and, after I read further, I noticed that they guarantee something very unusual.
While almost any business guarantees things like refunds, swapping your damaged item for a new one, or just completely meaningless things like gift cards, their guarantee stands by their motto: “If you can find a cheaper solution than FireMood then we will pay you 300% back!” That sounds promising; imagine paying for firewood, finding much better prices elsewhere and getting 3x your money back. That sounds insane.
But then I remembered, as I made my spreadsheet, it’s not so much a guarantee as a challenge—because there are no better prices out there than from FireMood. That was one of the things I also clarified with Brian, that they can guarantee such a thing because they’ve found a way to do it.
I was angry, but you shouldn't be
After writing all of this, detailing all my research about FireMood, I went on to check once more how they were looking; maybe something new had popped up. Maybe new products, maybe a higher membership price? Maybe they were not in business anymore? Well, I did see something new and, to say the least, I was expecting a lot of things but not this.
I now understand what Brian told me about, that everyone can get in but not all will get in. I saw it with my own eyes. They closed their membership club. They were full! What? How? They were just open two days ago and now they were full? That’s complete chaos. I was a bit mad at myself because, well, I am also interested in using their products and I was not very happy to see that I can’t purchase them anymore.
All I got was a message from them saying that they were full currently and they might open up later again. Not being happy about that I did write a bit of an angry email to them, asking when I could get in because I missed my chance.
Thank God Brian answered the next morning; he told me they weren’t expecting so many people to join, but they will be opening up soon again. He did point out that they can take only about 100 more members because at the first opening too many people joined, but they will try to manage a few more seats for the club.
